ANBI

Stichting 100% Malawi has ANBI status. Below you'll find our details, objective and accountability.

What is an ANBI?

ANBI stands for “Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling”, a Dutch public benefit organisation. The Tax Authority grants this status to organisations that dedicate at least 90% of their efforts to the public good.

An ANBI may not distribute profit and is required to be transparent about its objective, policy, board and finances. That is why you will find those details below.

For you as a donor it means your gifts are tax-deductible.

Objective

The foundation's objective is: improving living conditions in Malawi and supporting Malawians in the provision of basic necessities. Resources are deployed for humanitarian aid, strengthening the position of women and children, agricultural training, the environment and community infrastructure in the village of Kande (about 5,000 residents).

Policy plan

We work on the principle that 100% of donations go to Malawi; all organisational costs are borne by the founder and sponsors. We focus on four areas: a multifunctional community building, strengthening the position of women and children, agricultural education and continuous emergency aid. Progress is carefully tracked and shared with donors.

Board

Board in the Netherlands: Robert Falk Geurst (founder/treasurer, b. 06-04-1959), Michel Nicolas Trompert (secretary, b. 14-05-1956) and Marco Peter Nijhof (general board member, b. 21-11-1959). In Malawi a board is active with Alfred Ngámbi, Grace Phiri, Happy Moyo, Joel Phiri and Rodgers Chirwa.

Remuneration policy

The foundation does not aim to make a profit. Board members receive no remuneration for their work; they are only entitled to reimbursement of reasonable, documented expenses. This applies to both the board in the Netherlands and the board in Malawi.

Activities report

Since our founding we have provided monthly basic aid to the most vulnerable families, built a multifunctional community building with a preschool, purchased land and started two agricultural pilots. Read the latest updates on our news page.

Financial accountability

The foundation was established on 06-06-2025. The annual reports and financial accountability will be published here after the close of our first financial year.
