Dignity & Social Protection for All

Not everyone can take care of themselves:

Some people are too old, too ill, too weak, or no longer have any family. A community with dignity does not leave them behind. Our fourth focus area: making sure that no one in Mbamba Village Kande goes without basic necessities, that everyone feels they matter, that no one is forgotten.

Food distribution: Hunger humiliates. Food gives life. For 65 (broken) families (carefully selected by our team members there and the Chief), this difference is the only thing standing between survival and death. This isn't charity; this is humanity. Beds & hygiene products: Hygiene is health. A bed gives dignity. These are basic things we take for granted, but for these families they mean: "you matter, you deserve more than sleeping on the ground." Basic medical needs: Preventable diseases should not be deadly. Basic medical care keeps families intact and healthy. This is not a project that ends. This is a permanent commitment: these 65 families will always need support, and we are there for them. This is our safety net, the proof that in our community no one is left entirely alone. The outcome: A community where even the most vulnerable members have dignity, safety and hope.

How do we do this as cheaply as possible?

We now import the hygiene products ourselves, and better still, we grow our own food!

We have rented, bought and been given land, so we can now meet our own needs far more cheaply!
