A mountain of work - October update
We were given a free 2,500 m² plot at the edge of the village and had 16,000 bricks baked to start building a community house.

Big news: because the entire community believes in us, we were given a large 2,500 m² plot of land at the edge of the village for free - previously owned by the parents of our adopted twins Benjamin and Bright.
This week we had 16,000 bricks baked and purchased to start building a community house with storage and a small office. This had to happen now, because there are only two months a year when there is enough clay and it is dry enough. The bricks are stacked to form a kind of oven that is heated with wood to harden them.
We are also negotiating for 4,000 m² of agricultural land. And this month too we were able to provide the most vulnerable people of Kande with their basic necessities - we select strictly: broken families, people with disabilities, AIDS patients, orphans and grandmothers with grandchildren.
