Big news from Malawi
We flew to Malawi in November and look back proudly on productive weeks. In six months a school has been built, two farming pilots are running and a foundation has been set up in Malawi. all working voluntery!

In the months after the last newsletter, a lot of hard work has been done both in the Netherlands and in Malawi. We live two full travel days apart, so it was high time to take again a look for ourselves. In November we flew to Malawi to see the work with our own eyes and to work out new plans together.
It was an unforgettable collaboration. It is almost unbelievable what the foundation has achieved in six months: the school starts next month. The village Chief followed us closely and the Chief of the entire district (responsible for 28 villages) took all the time for us and even invited the regional minister of education.
What we have achieved so far
The multifunctional building - with a toddler classroom. small office and storage - will be completed in mid-February 2026. The free preschool has a headmaster and we hope to give pupils and teachers a healthy meal. Around the building there will be fences, fruit trees, a vegetable garden, a chicken coop and two goats.
We also had the unique opportunity this week to purchase 3,000 m² of land to grow more fruit and vegetables, working towards self-sufficient school meals. What is still missing is a fixed monthly income for continuity - something we are now working on from the Netherlands. Most contributions are also tax-deductible!
